Job Analysis

Job analysis is a systematic analysis of the tasks, duties and responsibilities essential to do a job. Job analysis is significant personnel activity because it recognizes what people do in their jobs and what they need in order to do the job satisfactorily. A variety of methods, are utilized to collect information regarding jobs. However, none of them is perfect. Therefore, in fact practice, a combination of several methods is used for acquiring job analysis data. These are job performance, panel of experts, personal observation, , interview, critical incidents, diary method, and questionnaire method. The growth of Internet has modified the hiring landscape. Job seekers register their resume on the website and they are informed about vacancies in any organisation that match their qualifications through e-mail.
