Unfair Trade Practices of MRTP Act

For preventing deceptive as well as misleading advertisement MRTP Act has declared convinced trade practices as unfair. These inequitable Trade Practices are controlled by MRTP Act. In the case any advertiser is found indulged in issuing deceptive advertisements he is directed to right away withdraw such ad not to repeat such ad in future issue corrective ad making necessary clarifications give damages to cheated consumers and he is as well liable to fines, prosecution or both under the Act.

Committee was appointed to reconsider MRTP Act. It made a few recommendations with regard to unfair trade practices which were incorporated in MRTP Act in the head Unfair Trade Practices.
