Newspaper: - Newspaper is brought mainly for their news values. Newspapers are published in a variety of languages. In country like India maximum newspapers are published in Hindi and English. Newspapers comprise following types of advertisement:

  • Local Advertisement
  • National Advertisement
  • Classified Advertisement
  • Special Ads and Inserts

Advantages:-

  • Wide coverage
  • Low cost per reader
  • Flexibility
  • Quick delivery of message
  • Geographical Selectivity
  • More Credibility
  • Most appropriate for Comparative-Advertising.

Disadvantages

  • Short life span
  • Limited coverage
  • Advertisement Overload
  • Poor Production
  • Wasteful Circulation
  • Proves expensive if Number of Customer is less
