Information managers try to lower the cost of tasks that require discourse/ document analysis, if possible by using automated methods, to provide better service to clients and improve the quality of information provided. Information users need to have direct access to relevant information, for rapid awareness of content, and to discover new ideas and relationships.
For meeting these needs a rapidly growing class of software products called enterprise KM products has come up.
