Importance of media planning

One significant role of the marketing manager is media planning. The media events of a business shouldn't be made 'on the spur of the moment.' Rather, they must be an integrated portion of the complete marketing activity of the business.

In addition to this, all of the marketing activity of a business requires to reflect the creative platform of the organization. To do that efficiently, marketing activities require planning and coordinating. While doing this develops synergy between the marketing activities of the organization. Synergy means that by coordinating activities more energy is developed than if the activities were completed individually. By coordinating the marketing activities, the company will have a marketing program that is:

  1.  Cost-effective
  2.  More effective
  3.  More easily adjusted or adapted to market scenario
  4.  Adaptable to the deveoping needs of the company

A good media plan is the outcome of the effective coordination of the organization marketing activities.
