1. Explain (with reference to Air National) the importance of strategic human resource management and the need for adopting both a medium- and long-term perspective in respect of human resource management.

2. Assess the purpose of strategic human resources management and evaluate how it has contributed to organisational objectives in Air National.

The link between corporate strategy and human resource management strategy needs to be made clear to show their interrelationship; you also need to demonstrate through examples from the case study how the human resource management strategy supports and contributes to organisational purposes.

You should use the Air National case study as your main reference point, but also mention any relevant academic theories or models.
