The global financial and economic crisis does not seem to abate. Euro zone more specifically is undergoing very trying moments with debt issues in countries such as Greece, Spain, Italy and Portugal. Mauritius is a net food importer country and relies heavily on its exports to Europe to generate revenues.

Despite that Mauritius economic growth shows moderate strength, inflation is a matter of concern.

In the role of a Marketing Manager in an organization of your choice that operates in the Mauritian market, you are required by your General Manager has asked you are write a report in which you.

a) Describe the ways in which the trends in the macro-environment are influencing buying behaviour of households and organisations in your industry.
