1. What business communication tools are you familiar with or use regularly? (Share links and examples with your classmates. What challenges have they created?
2. Identify a small business or small non-profit organization with which you are somewhat familiar that you would like to use as your "client" for your project? (small = 5 to 15 employees). This should be an organization you are somewhat familiar with; perhaps you are a customer, know some of the employees, have worked there, etc. You will be using this company as the basis for some of the Communication Audit Exercises including a review of their website and social media, the creation of survey and focus group questions, etc. You will want to select an organization that has some public information available - a website and social media presence are a necessity. You won't have to have intimate knowledge of the organization, but sufficient to be able to make some general assumptions about the structure and the potential communication challenges they may face.
