Assessment Description
In this individual assessment, students will have the opportunity to demonstrate their ability to analyse the traits and behaviours of contemporary leadership, explain the core functions of leadership and management within a modern organisational context, and evaluate how leadership influences organisational culture.
Assessment Instructions
For this final individual assessment, you are required to build on the findings and recommendations developed by your group in Assessment 2. Using that foundation, you will create a contemporary change leadership proposal to guide the selected organisation's leader in implementing the recommended changes.
You will present your proposal in a 1500-word report, and include the following elements:
Cover page with your details.
Overview: Briefly summarise the organisational issue and your group's recommendations from Assessment 2. This sets the context for your proposal.
Inclusive leadership: Critically analyse the leader's role in ensuring inclusive decision-making, cross-cultural collaboration, and equitable access to follower opportunities.
Change management: Critically identify how the leader can use Change Management principles together with Lewin's Change Model to help explain the uncertainty of change and reduce follower resistance.
Leadership development: considering the five forces shaping leadership in 2025, critically discuss ONE force that you believe would be best for the leader to adopt to help drive the change.
