Q. Merits and Demerits of lectures?

1 this method is very useful in analyzing the problems and issues and examining them from different viewpoints.

2 it is very helpful in developing the conceptual knowledge in the trainees.

3 since the trainees are actively involved in this method dogmatism is reduced attitudes are modified and solutions are easily sought.

Demerits:

1 this method is limited only too small groups.

2 it is a long process and hence the progress also gets delayed.

3 irrelevant issues may creep in sometimes as part of discussion.

3 seminar or team discussions: this is an established method for training. A seminar is conducted in many ways.
