(a) log₃ (9 x⁴ / √y)

Solution

log₃ (9 x⁴/ √y) =log ₃ 9x⁴ - log y ^(1/2)

=log ₃ 9 + log ₃ x⁴ - log y ^(1/2)

= 2 + 4 log3x -( ½) log y
