What are the effectual needs to be target a market segment?

To be an effectual target a market segment should be:

i. Identification: Marketers must be able to identify the relevant characteristics about product or services to separate the market within separate segments on basis of common requirement some segmentation variables as like geographical, demographics are easily identifiable or observable others as like education, marital and income, status can be determined by questioners.

ii. Sufficiency: For any type of market segment to be worldwide target this must have enough number of people constituting the segment of market.

iii. Stability: Many marketers prefer to target consumer segment which are relatively stable or growing or increasing larger query. They ignore ‘fickle’ segments which are unpredictable.

iv. Accessibility: Fourth need to effective targeting into accessibility that means which marketers must be capable to reach the market segment they want to target but within an economic way.
