SEQUENTIAL FILES:
The purpose of the proposed section is to introduce the concepts such as File characteristics,
File Description for Fixed-Length Records, File-Control Entries for Sequential Files, the Sequential Files with Variable-Length Records and Statements for Sequential Files. The objective in this section is to explain how to create and read a tape or disk file. The magnetic tape file, like a card or printer file, can have only a sequential organization.
