Mpeg-1, Computer Graphics

Assignment Help:

MPEG-1 : MPEG-1 that is Moving Picture Experts Group format 1 is an industry standard encoding format that is broadly used. Its normal format is a frame size of about 352 x 240 and a constant bit stream of about one megabit per second, a rate well inside that of any CD player. MPEG-1 at this size consumes about 10 megabytes for all minute of video, hence a classical CD can hold about 1 hour of video.

MPEG-1 is roughly equal to VHS in quality, though one might not think hence, when one watches the video on a computer. Video CDs or VCDs utilize the MPEG-1 format and look good while viewed on a television.
