Explain the Urinary System in human body?
The urinary system removes the waste materials produced as a result of all the metabolic process required to sustain life. The process of removal of these metabolic wastes is called excretion.
The body must also balance salt and water in the tissues in order to support these life processes. Some water and minerals are excreted by the skin through perspiration. Some water is excreted from the lungs along with carbon dioxide, but most is eliminated by the urinary system, along with nitrogenous wastes.
The kidneys are the primary organs of the urinary system, filtering wastes from the blood and producing urine for excretion. The other organs of the urinary system are the bladder, which stores urine, and the ureters and urethra, which transport urine.
