"Group Decision Support System (GDSS) is also known as an Electronic Meeting System (EMS) and is one type of Decision Support System (DSS) which can be used for group collaboration. (i) Explain the term GDSS with relevant examples. Your answer must include a discussion of the characteristics of GDSS and GDSS tools.

(ii) Show how GDSS can enhance the Group decision-making process.

a) It has been observed that most computer crime against companies is committed by current or former employees. What security problems are created by employees?

b) Authentication refers to the ability to know that a person is who he or she claims to be. Briefly explain three authentication methods.

c) How can encryption be used to protect information? Explain the role of encryption and digital certificates in a public key infrastructure.

Question 3:

The main stages involved in the implementation of an information system once it has been designed are: installation of the software and hardware, testing, training, documentation, file conversion and change over. Discuss each stage.
