Electrical Checks : Each piece of equipment that uses mains electricity should have its plug, cable, and fuse checked at least once a year, and you must keep a record of the checks that you make. Once again, a card index system can be useful. Each piece should have its own card. If you have several similar items with no serial numbers you must allocate each with a means of identification so that you can distinguish between them. A simple record card is shown in Figure.
