Q. Characteristics of worker’s participation?
1. Participation implies practices which increase the scope for employee's share of influence in decision making in different tiers of the organizational hierarchy with concomitant assumption of responsibility.
2. Participation has to be at different levels of management. Decision making at different levels world assume different patterns in regard to policy formulation and execution.
3. Participation is presupposes willing acceptance of responbilities by worker's.
4. Participation is conducted through the mechanism of the forum and practices which provide for association of worker's representatives.
5. The broad goal of participation is to change fundamentally the organizational aspect of production and transfer the management function entirely to the workers so that management becomes ‘auto management'.
