Carbon paper leaf prints

Cover the vein side of a leaf with a very thin layer of lard or vaseline. Place the greased leaf vein side up on various layers of newspaper and cover with a sheet of carbon paper. Cover the carbon paper with another sheet of paper and rub across it various times with the side of a smooth pencil, to coat the leaf with material from the carbon paper. To make the final print place the leaf among two sheets of white paper and again rub with the pencil
