The tightening effect is modeled by a compression spring that is compressed linearly as the mass moves. The force exerted by the spring on A is given by k(x0 + ?x), where k = 100 N/m, x0 = 0.05 m, and ? = 0.27. The coefficients of friction between A and the ground are 0.4. Assuming that A starts moving from rest, at x = 0, what is its speed at the point that the force resisting its motion is equal in magnitude to F? Assume that the spring/wall interface is frictionless and the spring remains vertical as the block moves.
