PART TWO Create a 100 word response to the remarks of another?

QUOTE; "Lady Russell's composed mind and polite manners were put to some trial on this point, in her intercourse in Camden Place. The sight of Mrs Clay in such favour, and of Anne so overlooked, was a perpetual provocation to her there; and vexed her as much when she was away, as a person in Bath who drinks the water, gets all the new publications, and has a very large acquaintance, has time to be vexed." In 100 words please respond to these remarks of another's interpretation or post (below) based on the quote stated above.

Remarks from another to the quote above starts here; The situation of Mrs. Clay's chosen nature over Anne's when the family moved from Kellynch would have been a slight to nearly any other person of high class--indeed, Lady Russell was offended by this and she wasn't even the overlooked family member. As is shown early on in the story, Mrs. Clay was from the lower class and rose to prominence due to her influential marriage.

When her husband died and left her a mother to his heirs, she did not fall back into the lower class, as his name remained as an influencer, gaining her access to parties and social gatherings due to her marriage status. In the power point, it is mentioned that "Austen is much more interested in the types of people who lived more precariously on the margins of the gentry proper, but whose connections, education, or role in the community gave them the right, like her father the rector, ‘to mix in the best society of the neighborhood,'" creating a confusing and convoluted route of hierarchy as Mrs. Clay is beneath Anne, but her station has allowed her to mix with Anne's family and wiggle her way in to Walter Elliott's life, causing her connection to Elizabeth and her more openly-engaged personality to allow her to be a higher ranking person in the Elliott life than theirs.
