Writing about Television

Directions: In this essay, read an episode of a television show and write a paper analyzing some aspect of it. After describing the text at hand, think about what elements (character, setting, conflict, point of view) of the show say about the text. What conclusions can you draw about the work from the observations you have made? A television show has traditional elements of texts such as narrative and symbolic language of one sort or another, as well as visual elements that contribute to the show's meaning.
