Case Study: Health education paramount in health because the individuals will have control over their health status and also the society will be well informed on their health. For example,patients believe that early vaccination against communicable or non-communicable diseases can prevent one from getting the specific infection. The nursing process, a problem-solving technique used to create evidence-based plans for patient care as they react to existing or potential health problems, is the foundation of nursing practices. (Cable, 2018) The first step in nursing practice is nursing assessments through it, the nurse will know what educative information he can provide to the patient.

The cotemporary issue affecting the globe is the misuse of antibiotics and use of over-the-counter medications, with every viral infection the patient goes to the pharmacy and purchase antibiotics. Children are frequently prescribed top class of antibiotics for example third generation cephalosporins and when they get to adolescent or adulthood the cases of drug resistance come in. I think as health care providers we should discuss with our doctors to minimizing the use of antibiotics until culture and sensitivity is done or until the infection warrants the use of the drug. Talking to the regulatory bodies and the government can put laws in place to avoid the misuse of antibiotics.

Question: Although antibiotics have the power to save lives, they can also have negative side effects and advance the emergence of antibiotic resistance. It is a national priority to improve antibiotic prescribing and use because at least 28% of antibiotic courses provided annually in U.S. medical offices and emergency rooms are unnecessary.
