1. Choose a child (case) from the documentary and brief introduction that provides your assigned child's name, age, gender, and describes his/her personality, development, interests/attitudes/feelings, and notable behaviors, such as motivation to do well in school, friendships/social skills, etc. Also, give a little context about the family and family life.
2. Briefly describe the case child's mother and her characteristics/personality, then describe her parenting practices or approach to parenting. (Her sensitivity, warmth, how well she supervises/monitors her children, how she speaks to them, how involved she is in their lives, etc.) Include a brief discussion of how poverty and/or the pandemic has impacted her parenting.
3. Discuss two different parenting or maternal factors that seem to have influenced your case study child.
4. How do each of the two parental influences you choose to focus on specifically impact the well-being of the child you chose. Discuss how you believe each maternal parent factor influenced your case youth such as emotional well-being, school performance, self-esteem, etc.
5. How did these families rely on community organizations or individuals for their basic needs?
