Question

Charlie has worked for Flash Courier for 5 years as a bike courier delivering packages to offices in downtown Toronto. He signed a contract that has a clause that reads: "You are an independent contractor". Yesterday, Flash Courier informed Charlie that his services are no longer needed. Flash Courier provided no notice to Charlie and told him he was not entitled to anything more, since he was an independent contractor.

Charlie asks you if Flash Courier is correct about this. He is wondering if he can sue Flash Courier for wrongful dismissal.
