Assessment - Integrated Project Management Website

Assessment Purpose

Assessment 2 requires students to independently integrate the project management concepts and tools learned across the unit. The group builds a professional project management website that presents genuine artefacts created with approved tools and explains how those artefacts connect to project decisions. The website is a communication and integration layer; marks are based primarily on project management quality, evidence and interpretation, not decorative web design.

Generative AI is not permitted for creating, rewriting, summarising, analysing, coding, designing or generating text, images, charts or project management content. AI-enabled site builders and AI assistants embedded in platforms must not be used.

Permitted non-generative functions include ordinary spell-checking, basic grammar flags that identify errors without rewriting text, formatting tools, accessibility checks, calculators, standard website templates and manual page-layout/menu features. If a feature generates or rewrites content from a prompt or suggestion, it must not be used.

Required Tools

ProjectLibre - schedule, Gantt chart, dependencies, milestones and critical path.

Trello - Kanban/project tracking.

Excel or Google Sheets - risk/cost/status data and dashboard.

Project Scenarios

Choose ONE scenario per group, or propose an equivalent project with prior lecturer approval:

A - Regional Hospital Digital Records
A regional hospital network is replacing several legacy clinical systems with an integrated electronic health record platform across multiple sites.

A national retail chain is migrating in-store point-of-sale terminals to a cloud-based platform before a major trading period.

C - University Student Portal Consolidation

A logistics company is implementing IoT-based fleet tracking and warehouse inventory across its depot network while integrating with an ageing ERP system.

Required Project Management and Website Tools

Students must use the tools learned in the unit. At least one tool must be used from each mandatory category below.

Free Website Development - REQUIRED
Approved examples: Google Sites, Wix, Free WordPress.com, Carrd, or GitHub Pages

Website Development Conditions

The website must be created using a free or institutionally accessible platform approved by the lecturer.

Generative AI site builders, AI design generators, AI writing assistants, AI coding assistants and AI image generation are not permitted.

Students may use standard manual website templates, page layouts, menus, embedding tools and formatting features.

The final website must be accessible through a working shareable link at the time of marking and presentation.

Students are responsible for checking permissions so the lecturer can access the site without requesting access.
