Assignment Description
Objectives:
ABC is a small IT Support business under development. You have been hired as an IT administrator to design and implement the office IT infrastructure and provide a full IT solution. It is understood that the ABC intend to go with the latest IT technology however, reasonable budget and expending is highly recommended.
In a face-to face meeting with the ABC manager, you have been given general information about the required development and you have been advice to collect the rest of the requirements using different collecting data techniques.
ABC will have 2 sites one in Sydney and the other in Melbourne. Sydney will have a total of 30 employees and Melbourne will have 20 Employees. Both Sites will have Customer Services, IT however, Sydney site will have 2 extra Departments HR and Accounting.
You are required to provide a full IT proposal which include two Tasks:
Task 1:
Gather (user, application, device and network requirements) with the help of different techniques such as Interview, questionnaire, etc. Give sample of these requirements and the techniques which have been used to collect these data.
Task 2:
• Based on the requirements identified at Task1, design a WAN structure for the ABC showing full devices such as routers, switches, links, etc. by Using a relevant network designing software. Draw a diagram to illustrate your high level design
• Determine the Network Addresses by using the subnet 192.168.P.0/24, where P is your group number. You also need to use VLSM technique, subnet both networks and allow 30% for possible future expansion.
• You need to explain the technical Aspects for the choosing devices such routers, switches, hubs, Aps, cables, servers ,etc.
• (Using either Netsim or GNS3 or Packet Tracer) Configure the topology devices with basic configurations, routing and NAT. Extra configuration such as VLAN and Port security entitled to extra marks.
