Make reflection of After watching both of the videos, its a clear that the debate over in the United States is deeply tied to how we define our rights and responsibilities. In chapter 9, it talks a lot about the different ways people get health insurance in the U.S. like through employers, individually, or through government programs. It also emphasizes how expensive healthcare is and how some people don't have any insurance at all. In the two videos they tackle the issue from opposing sides to discuss the healthcare issue. Ben Shapiro argues that healhcare isn't right because providing it would mean forcing someones else to give their labor or sevices. He supports a system where people are responsible for gettin their own coverage, whether that through a job or private insurance. That kind of thinking fits with the current system that we have here in the U.S.. The second video argues that healthcare is a human right and should be available to everyone, no matter how much money they have. That view relates more to a system like universal healthcare, where access is seen as a basic need like water. Chapter 9 helped me understand that our current system is expensive and doesn't cover everyone, which is a big part of the debate. Watching both videos makes it clear that it is difficult to balance costs, access, and fairness.
