When answering questions, you should relate every question to your assigned business organisations to show your understanding and you can apply the skills or technologies in your area. As a general guide, the answer should start with something like “As a Network Administrator looking after the network for the Sydney Convention Centre, I will address the issues regarding data integrity in the following ways …”. The words “I” and “my” are encouraged to be used more often to indicate you are in the position. Remember that the business organisations are fictitious, please do not call the company to ask questions.

You do not need to write a long essay for each question, however you will need to illustrate your understanding, provide examples wherever suitable, and to ensure that your answer will suit your allocated business environment. As a guide, a few words are not sufficient and you will need to provide at least five sentences for each answer. All questions must be answered completely and correctly to be deemed satisfactory in this assessment task.

Hand sketch a routed and switched network diagram on a blank paper with two routers, two switches, four PCs, and two printers. Write the names and IP addresses of the elements on your diagram. You must have one subnet to be 192.168.x.0 where x is the last digit of your student number. Your network diagram must have a title to signify your assigned fictitious company.
