Question: A researcher was looking at the relationship between heart disease [CHD] & a number of risk factors. The factors of interest were analyzed using a logistic regression equation of the form:

ln [p/(1-p)] = a + 2.3(X1) + (-3.1X2 ) + (-1.25X3 )+ 1.12(X2X3 )

α = -1.72

X1 = family history of CHD (0 = no, 1 = yes)

X2= sex (1=female, 0=male)

X3 = the average times per week a person exercises for at least twenty minutes

Calculate the increased odds of CHD in females who have a family history of CHD & exercise three times per week compared to males who do not exercise & have not family history of CHD.
