Project
Assessment: Project Execution - System Design Proposal
Objective(s)
This assessment item relates to the unit learning outcomes as in the unit descriptor. This assessment is designed to improve student Planning skills and to give students experience in researching a topic and creating a plan for the project.
Instructions
For this component, you will be required to address the Systems Design of your project. This Assessment is the continuation of what you have done in project 1 Assessment 3 System Design.
Please extend your existing report (Project 1 Assessment 3 System Design) with more details about network architecture/Architectural Diagram, Project flow chart, ER Diagram/Protocol and Technologies that you have used in the project.
The report must follow the template provided on the LMS. Citation of sources is mandatory and must be in the IEEE style.
Assessment: Project Execution - Project Progress Report
Objective
This assessment item relates to the unit learning outcomes specified in the unit descriptor. The purpose of this assessment is to assess the clarity of progress on a project, not to describe all its details. By reading the progress report, the project supervisor can more easily keep track of the progress of the project and recall key elements.
For this assignment, you will submit a progress report on the project, including what has been accomplished, what needs to be accomplished, and any up-to-date issues or challenges encountered in the project.
Assessment 3- Project Deliverables
Assessment 3 - Part A: Implementation Report
Objective(s)
This group assessment is designed to assess your ability to adopt a systematic approach and produce a quality software product or solution. Your report will also cover risk management of the project team during the implementation stage.
Instructions
In this component you need to write a report about the implementation of your project. The implementation should be based on the system design report that you have submitted earlier as Assessment 1. In this Assessment, you will be implementing a prototype of a system that you have already designed and configure the protocols and technologies that you have proposed in your first report.
In the implementation report, you must include the following items in detail:
The step-by-step explanation of how you have configured your system and all the related protocols and technologies Screenshots of the commands and codes that you've used for configuration. The issues and risks that you faced during the implementation and how you have addressed them. The contribution of each group member in building the prototype. The report must follow the template provided on the LMS. Please note that citation of sources is mandatory and must be in the IEEE style.
Assessment 3-Part B: User Documentation
Objective(s)
Your report will cover the necessary user documentation as required.
Instructions
In this component you need to prepare user documentation for your project. The user documentation should be based on the system that you have designed and implemented earlier. In this Assessment, you will be describing how your prototype operates. Your user document should be easy to understand and not confusing for the end user.
In the user documentation, you must include the following items in detail:
Features of your prototype.
How to use the prototype that you have implemented?
How to resolve common problems with your prototype?
The report must follow the template provided on the LMS. Please note that citation of sources is mandatory and must be in the IEEE style.
Assessment 4: Project Deliverables - Demonstration and Presentation
Objective(s)
This assessment item relates to the unit learning outcomes specified in the unit descriptor. This assignment involves presenting the key features, functionalities, and outcomes of the project to an audience (Project supervisor and peers). Students will have the opportunity to explain their project in detail, demonstrate its functionality, and answer questions from the audience. This assignment aims to assess students' ability to effectively communicate their project work and demonstrate their understanding of the subject matter.
Assessment 5: Reflective journal
Objective(s)
This assessment item relates to the unit learning outcomes specified in the unit descriptor. This assignment involves documenting individual student's experiences throughout the duration of the project. Students can discuss challenges faced, successes achieved, and how the project has impacted their personal and professional growth. Reflecting on the project journey can help them gain insights, improve future projects, and enhance their overall learning experience.
