Ferdinand and Isabella are visiting the Bailong Elevator, the world's highest outdoor glass elevator. (The elevator is 330 m, or 1070 ft, high.) Isabella decides to take the elevator ride, but Ferdinand is scared of heights and stays on the ground.

The elevator climbs at a rate of 3 m/s. As Isabella rides the elevator, Ferdinand walks toward the elevator at a rate of 1.5 m/s. At one particular instant, Isabella is 150 m high, and Ferdinand is 50 m from the elevator shaft.
