Explain the techniques of Data mining

Data mining techniques used have to be specific to the domain and also depend on the area of application. Important requirements are that the data collected should be relevant and of a high-quality. Analytical techniques used in data mining include statistical methods, such as, regression analysis, discriminant analysis, factor analysis, principal component analysis, word usage and co-occurrence analysis, and time-series - as well as mathematical modeling. In-depth classification and related indexes are also helpful in data mining.
