For making skins for automotive inside parts such as instruments panels, consoles, glove door boxes, door panels, etc
The main components of the process are:
• The mould
• The powder box
• The movement: rotation, vibration change of position
It is a process that also involves the application of plastisol to a mould, but in this case the piece is gelated in hot bath, temperature around 200-230 oC. The time spent inside the hot bath depends on the required thickness. The remaining non-gelated plastisol is extracted, and gelation of PVC in the mould is completed. The piece is finally demolded.
