Substitute 6 for r in the formula a = r^2 and solve for a, Mathematics

Assignment Help:

Find the area of a circle along with a radius of 6 inches. The formula for the area of a circle is A = πr2. Use 3.14 for π. Substitute  6 for r in the formula A = πr2 and solve for A.

A = (3.14)(62) A = (3.14)(36) A = 113.04

The area of the circle is 113.04 square inches.

A general mistake in this problem is to say in which 62 is 12. This is NOT true; 62 means 6 × 6 that equals 36.
