The assignment for the module is an individual report which contributes 25% of the module total mark. You should conduct a Strategic Position Analysis (Situation Analysis) on an organisation currently operating within Singapore or internationally.

Your analysis should provide;

  • a brief summary of the organisations strategic history
  • an assessment of the key environmental factors faced by the organisation
  • an assessment of the organisations strategic capabilities
  • an outline of stakeholder expectations
  • a SWOT analysis drawn from the above
  • a brief summary  of the future potential of the organisation

The primary objective of the assignment is to provide a general assessment of the current strategic position of your chosen organisation. You should not dwell too much upon either the past or future but briefly discuss each to provide some context i.e. where the organisation is coming from and where it might be going.
