Q. Show General Characteristics of group16?

The valence shell electronic configuration of Group 16 elements is ns2, ns4. These elements tend to gain inert gas configuration by accepting two electrons and forming E2- anions (E=O. S, Se & Te) or by sharing two electrons in forming two covalent bonds.
