Shading - Polygon Rendering and Ray Tracing Methods
When one thing is under the exposure of light, so the rays of light are distributed over the surface and there the distribution of intensity pattern depends extremely on the shape of that thing. Here to represent that 3D scene on computer we want to do rendering, that is transforming the 3-D image into a 2-D image, and due to this rendering there is an option of loss of information like height, depth and so on, of an object in the scene. Therefore to preserve this takes different Illumination models into consideration, for saving the information embedded in 3-D scene and allow it not be lost whereas transforming it in to 2-D scene. Thus here we study in some detail the type of rendering techniques and shading.
