Methods\Devices of sales promotion: the various sales promotion devices can be classified in three ways as shown in figure below:

1. consumer promotion: sales promotion directed at consumers may be done with a view to increase the products rate of using among existing consumer or to attract new consumer to the company's product. It may also be under taken to retaliate the competitors sales promotion or other activities.consumer contests may helpful in achievement of marketing objectives such as the following:

  • Introducing a new product.
  • Opening up new territories of markets.
  • Getting consumers to increase the frequency of their purchases.
  • Increasing brand awareness and maintaining brand loyalty.
  • Offsetting price competition.
  • Activating slow moving products.
  • Obtaining information such as names addresses and opinions of users of the product for the purpose of research.
