Linking:A hypermedia system and also information in general contains different types of relationships among various information parts. Illustrations of typical relationships comprise similarity in meaning or context, similarity in temporal sequence or logical sequence, and containment also.

Hypermedia permits these relations to be installed like links that connect the different information elements; hence these links can be utilized to navigate inside the information space.

One possible structure is depends on the mechanics of the links. We can moreover look at the number of sources and destinations for links as for single-source there is single-destination, for multiple-source there is single-destination etc. the directionality of links are unidirectional and bi-directional and the anchoring mechanism as generic links, dynamic links, etc..

A more helpful link structure is depends on the type of information relations being presented. In exacting, we can divide relations into those depends on the organization of the information space termed as structural depends and those associated to the content of the information space termed as associative and referential links.
