Hypermedia, Computer Graphics

Assignment Help:

Hypermedia: it is a superset of hypertext. Hypermedia documents comprise links not only to the other pieces of text, although also to other forms of media: sounds and images and movies. Images themselves can be chosen to connection to sounds or documents. It simply combines hypertext and multimedia.

Several examples of Hypermedia might be as:

  • You are reading a text which is written in Hindi. You choose a Hindi phrase and then hear the phrase as spoken in the native tongue.
  • You are viewing a manufacturing plant's floor plan; you choose a section by clicking on a room. The staff name and picture appears along with a list of their current projects.
  • You are a law student studying the University Revised Statutes. Through selecting a passage, you determine precedents from a 1920 Supreme Court ruling stored at Law Faculty. Cross-referenced hyperlinks permit you to view any one of 500 related cases along with audio annotations.

Hypertext and HyperMedia both are principles, not products and both terms were coined through Ted Nelson.
