Hiley formula in designing of h-piles, Civil Engineering

Assignment Help:

Question

Is it resourceful that engineers rely solely on Hiley's formula in designing of H-piles?

Answer

About 90 percent of H-piles accept Hiley's formula for design. Though, this method is only applicable to pile lengths less than 30 meter and is appropriate for course-grained resources. In Hiley's method, by observing penetration of piles after hammer impact, pile aptitude could be willingly obtained from answer of the impacting force. Then, individual pile ability be able to be obtained by this active system.
