Explain the Steps of Exercise
You have learnt the steps of exercises in Block 3, Unit 1 of theory block. Let us review the steps.
In aerobic exercises one has to under go following steps i.e. a) warming up; b) exercise and c) cooling down.
a) Warming up - here the person has to under go two types of exercises They are active and passive warming up.
i) Active warming up-It is the type of physical activity accomplished by the individual, which will be used during the time of aerobic exercise.
ii) Passive warming up -passive warming up does not involve physical exercise. Instead, it involves external stimulus such as massage, steam bath, back care and other such means through which physiological changes can take place.
b) Exercise for 20 minutes.
c) Cooling down - It is lowering down the intensity of work out session by performing stretching exercises followed by deep breathing relaxation exercises is called cooling down.
