Explain the Hydrophobic Grid Membrane Filter (HGMF)?
It is also used to enumerate microorganisms from a variety of food samples. By using this method, organisms as few as 10 cells/gm can be detected and results can be obtained within 24 hours. The filter contains 1600 wax grid. Following filtration, membrane is placed on suitable media for colony development overnight.
