Writing can be easier if you have a reader in mind - someone you know. I am not referring to the teacher as your reader. Sure, if you are writing an assignment, I will be reading it. But in order to write a piece with a purpose that is yours, you ought to think of someone you know who might want to read it. I do that, and if I like what I've written then I send it to that person. Afterward, I might rewrite the piece and send it to more people, or post it on Facebook, which for now I am using as a blog.

Help to write about an event - yes, you are storytelling again - in a piece directed to a person you know. Make sure it is someone other than the person with whom you worked on Assignment 1. Think of what that person might want to know about the event as you write. Rewrite the piece when you are done. Send it to the person you have in mind. Post it here.
