Writing the Essay

You must select a topic from the list provided under the Essay Topic Icon. The list provides you with theories and/or problems discussed in the chapters covered by your textbook. Once a topic has been selected by a student, you must select another one from the list.
Once you submit your selection, begin conducting your research.
To facilitate your work I suggest that you keep detailed notes on all the sources that you consult as you research your paper. That way it will be easier to write the required Annotated Bibliography.
Detailed instructions on how to write an Annotated Bibliography are provided under that icon.

Under that icon you will find suggested data sources and the Miami Dade College Library link to access these important and helpful data bases at our Library and also tips on avoiding plagiarism.

Read the information provided on "how to avoid plagiarims" before you start writing the essay. You can only submit this assignment once.

Remember that the Essay must be submitted through the Course's Essay Dropbox.

Essays that identifies as having more than 10% rate of plagiarism after quoted material and small matches (10 words or less) are excluded will not be read and a will receive a grade of F.

Remember that this is a 1,000 word essay. Essays that have less than the required 1,000 words will not be read and will be assigned a grade of F.

All work must be written using proper English grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Points will be deducted for grammatical and spelling errors.

NOTE: Submitting a paper that was already submitted by the student to another professor and/or course is also considered an act of academic dishonesty. Students who are found doing this will also receive an F (no points) for this assignment. Students are expected to write a different, new paper for every class they take.

The essay is worth a maximum of 100 points (10% of your final grade). Points will be deducted for essays that are not written using proper English grammar, punctuantion, and spelling.
