Question: It's All in the Wording. The Pew Research Center reports the following survey results for two ways of asking about job availability. When asked which statement they agreed with, 33% of respondents agreed with the statement "Jobs are difficult to find," while 60% agreed with the statement "Plenty of jobs are available." When asked which statement they agreed with, 45% of respondents agreed with the statement "Good jobs are difficult to find," while 48% agreed with the statement "Plenty of good jobs are available." Discuss why the two questions produced such different results. Do you feel that either set of results is accurate? If not, how would you ask the question to obtain more accurate results?
