Why is understanding Algorithm Efficiency so critical? Let's face it: today's processors are in the neighborhood of a quad core 3.0 GHz. Why do we worry about efficiency? Not all computers have the latest and greatest processor. Take small devices, such as routers, firewalls, cellphones, alarm systems, etc. Getting the best out of a processor is critical. We all want applications to run fast and run better - with higher quality graphics. With this in mind, share your thoughts on why Algorithm Efficiency is so critical. As you discuss, refer to different devices and capabilities to illustrate your points.
