article :- Historical Personalitie's Leadership Ideologies
Introdution :-
A leader is a crucial individual whose abilities aid an institution in moving forward. A leader manages to maintain excellent interpersonal relations with others to motivate them to achieve the organization's set objectives. Leadership is a process that influences an individual's behavior in a way that they strive to fulfill the achievement set willingly and enthusiastically (Pressentin, 2021). Several historical figures are still honored for their contributions and impact. Mr. Dhirubhai Ambani and Mr. Ratan Rata are the two Indian leaders I have selected. The paper will provide a thorough analysis of the two historical Indian characters, focusing on comparison and contrast, accomplishments, and the reasons why they are regarded as servant leaders.
What qualifies each as a strong leader?
Many different kinds of leadership have an impact on people in the corporate sector. One must develop a leadership style that is appropriate for the group of individuals they are managing. They attempt to persuade people to blindly follow them. People like the charisma of these leaders. Additionally, they are perceived to have the following qualities, among others: keen perception, responsiveness, risk-takers, excellent communication skills, team building and motivation, and knowledge of organizational operations (Mutonyi et al., 2020). The two leaders, Mr. Ratan Rata and Mr. Dhirubhai Ambani, are two of India's most well-known businessmen of the late 20th and early 21st centuries. They are commercial industrialists who can shepherd and supervise people in India. As company leaders, they occasionally take the chance and are skilled at running an enterprise successfully. These leaders are categorized as effective leaders based on the traits mentioned beneath.
Positive or Negative influence they have had on the lives of others
An organization's leadership style throughout its era was either autocrat or democrat. Under an authoritarian system, senior management is given the responsibility for making decisions, while deputies automatically comply. An organization that operates democratically bases decisions on the viewpoints of all members. The decisions made by all members of the organization are respected and valued. The Tata Group, one of the largest corporations in India, is led by Ratan Tata and is renowned for being undercommitted while surprising everyone by exceeding expectations ("A Mogul Named Ratan Tata," 2003). People now have a fresh, inspirational vision in their heads as a result of this. Effective leadership is exhibited by Mr. Ambani, who is renowned for remaining quiet, kind, and non-violent yet performing on a regular basis. He presents the correct picture to the public, which enhances his good influence. The lives of Indians and the rest of the globe are so improved by both leaders.
How the leaders will be remembered
The lives of Indians and the rest of the globe have been improved by both leaders. By offering individuals jobs, they have given people many opportunities to improve their economic standing while also supporting them monetarily (Gupta, 2015). This has benefited the whole country as well as the individuals. They will be recognized for contributing to the nation's economic growth by creating jobs.
Similarities and differences between the two leaders.
The true situation of the firm in India was shaped by both leaders, who have each had a prosperous business career of their own. They were alike yet different, though.
Differences :-
Ratan Tata received his education where he attended school in Mumbai, completed an undergraduate course in structural engineering, and later attended a management program in Harvard. Dhirubhai Ambani disliked school lessons and preferred to engage in physical work ("Dhirubhai Ambani Vs Ratan Tata," n.d.). The sort of business that made each renowned is another distinction; Ambani started his own company, which grew steadily. Tata was renowned for enacting changes that increased the organization's popularity ("Dhirubhai Ambani Vs Ratan Tata," n.d.).
Similarities :-
Both of the leaders understood how to expand a company's reach and increase profits. They both understood how to manage competition, but Ambani stood out because of his remarkable risk-taking abilities. Tata was always one step ahead of his rivals and utilised his expertise with skill. As a result, it helped both leaders maintain the competitiveness of the firm. The two men have a lot to discuss. For the two, it has always been about being competitive in a way that creates value in a sustainable ecosystem. Despite obstacles, they have continued to hold fast to their beliefs and ideas, and they have written a tale of growth that has given India a significant place on the map of the world (Singh, 2022).
