Description of my dream:

I would categorize my dream as conventional. I want many of the things described by the American dream: a good education, well-paying job, a car, and a caring family. When I think of my dream, I don't think of the broader society. Instead, I think of individualistic accomplishments I can achieve. In the short term, I intend to transfer to UC Berkeley and major in data science. In the long term, I intend to work as a data scientist in finance. A possible reason someone might laugh at my dream is because I currently attend community college. People may believe it is impossible for me to achieve my ambitious dreams given my current status. There is a partially true stereotype that only the smartest, most hardworking people can work in finance. People may laugh at my dream because of the amount of knowledge I still lack.

Question

Who can help me to achieve my dream? Who would I need to be in solidarity with for my dream to be achievable? Please consider how society would need to change in order for mr to have a better chance of making my dream into a reality. To change society in a way where I will have better chances to accomplish my dream, I will need to work with others. Who are those others? What are our shared dreams?
